About

I am a full time professional, creative and relaxed wedding and lifestyle photographer based just outside Norwich on the Norfolk Broads.

I hold the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers Licentiate qualification and am a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.

I offer a mainly reportage style of wedding photography where I try and remain in the background as much as possible in order to capture the true emotion of the day. However I also like to take couples off for half an hour or so during the day in order to set up some timeless and stylish high-fashion shots (this mix can of course be altered to suit individual client's tastes).

Before booking a wedding I arrange to meet with you on a no-obligation basis where I can discuss your detailed arrangements, show examples of albums and designs and advise on timings and the typical sequence of events on the wedding day. This level of detailed planning helps ensure a stress-free and smooth-running day.

After the wedding I spend considerable time processing your images to bring out the true creative potential of shots, resulting in images that are truly memorable.

Please take look at my portfolio for examples of my work. Prices start at £695. If you would like to discuss your requirements further, please get in touch using the 'Contact' link on this site or call me on 01603 737 509.

Weddings

The total cost of your wedding photography is dependent on when it is plus how late in the evening you want coverage and the type of album you want (if any).

Attendance Fee.
During the main wedding season (May and September inclusive) a full day's coverage is £795 and if you would like me to work into the evening past 8pm I normally charge an extra £100. The attendance fee covers my time on the day and approximately two days of post-production (all your images will be processed in Photoshop before you see them). Weddings outside of these months plus midweek weddings are eligible for a £100 discount on the prices above.

Albums.
Albums are extra and range from £480 for a 20 side 9x6 inch Jorgensen Art album to £695 for a top of the range Jorgensen Pro-bound 16x12 inch album.

The company I have chosen to supply my albums is recognised as one of the leading album suppliers in the world. Jorgensen produce handmade albums from the finest materials in Perth Australia which are then hand-constructed with your photos back in the UK using computer cut mats. Wedding FAQs

My style. My style is a combination of reportage mixed with modern and stylishly posed shots. For most of the day I try and remain as unobtrusive as possible, hovering in the background capturing those moments at a wedding that portray the real emotion of the day. However I also like to spend some time with the bride and groom alone after the ceremony setting up stylish formal shots that make you both look great and give you some high-fashion pictures that will be treasured for years to come. Before the wedding I will discuss with you the sort of shots you prefer and will tailor my coverage accordingly.

A full day's coverage during the main wedding season is £795 and if you would like me to work into the evening past 8pm I normally charge an extra £100. This attendance fee covers my time on the day and approximately two days of post-production (all your images will be processed in Photoshop before you see them). Meeting me. Before taking a booking for a wedding I meet with prospective clients on a no-obligation basis either at your house or at mine. This gives you the opportunity to meet me and discuss your day and it allows me to show you samples of the sort of work that I produce and the albums that I offer. If you subsequently choose to book with me I will visit you again 4-6 weeks before the big day to check that dates, times and venues haven't changed and to finalise all the group shots that you require. You are of course welcome to contact me at any time in the intervening period if there's anything you wish to change or want clarified.

Payment. In order for me to hold a booking I require a deposit of £150. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the wedding day.

Proofs. I aim to present you with your proofs within 2 weeks (although this may be longer during the peak wedding season). Every proof image will have been processed in Photoshop to bring out its best potential.

Proof viewing and reprint ordering. Your images will be available to view via a slideshow on my website for approximately six months after your wedding. A separate reprint ordering link will also allow you and your friends and family to purchase reprints and other products directly using a Paypal account. Alternatively, if you would like to view your proofs in a book I can supply an A4 hard-backed proof book containing all of your images (6 images per page).

Wedding albums. If you would like me to provide an album, you can select your favourite images and I will process these once again to ensure they look as good as they possibly can. Having designed your album I send you a PDF version for you to approve before sending the order off to the suppliers. Delivery of the album usually takes around four to six weeks (although this may be longer at peak periods). I will always aim to hand-deliver this if possible.

Wedding album supplier. I have chosen Jorgensen of Australia to supply my client's albums. They are recognised as being one of the premier album suppliers in the world and offer a beautifully hand-constructed product that can be passed down through the generations. Further details of the company and its albums can be found here Jorgensen

Printers. I use one of the top professional printing laboratories in the country. Only the best quality paper, ink and printers are used and all images are guaranteed not to fade over time unlike those produced by high street printers and some cheaper printing houses.

Additional products. I can supply a wide variety of products from basic reprints, acrylic blocks and canvas wraps to mugs and mouse mats! If you have any specific requests or would just like to know what's available just let me know.

Insurance. For your security and peace of mind I have both third party liability and professional indemnity insurance. Further details can be provided on request.

How many pictures do you take? This is a hard question to answer as it very much depends on how long I am attending. Typically I will shoot 700-800 images on the day but these will be edited down to a final selection of approximately 200. Rest assured I will be working and looking for photo opportunities at every moment during your wedding.

How long are images kept? All client material is backed up multiple times and is kept for a minimum of five years. You are welcome to order any product at any point during this period following your wedding.

Booking form and Terms of Business. A printable booking form with my standard Terms of Business can be downloaded here .. Booking Form and Terms of BusinessLifestyle FAQs Portrait style All my portrait shoots are taken at your home or outside using a mix of natural light or portable flash units. I like to involve the whole family and have a very relaxed attitude to posing and content. I much prefer to photograph children playing or interacting with other family members rather than trying to get them to pose (or even sit still). In years to come I personally feel that these pictures will have more impact and bring back more memories than formal shots taken in a studio.

Locations I personally favour home locations as children in particualr are more comfortable and act more naturally. Other good locations include woods, countryside or the coast although I sometimes use urban environments and am happy to discuss any specific locations that you may have in mind.

The usual subjects I regularly shoot families and particularly specialise in natural portraits of children. I'm also happy to photograph other subjects such as pets and special events - please call me to discuss any requirements you might have.

How long will it take A normal portrait shoot normally lasts between one and two hours although I'm normally happy to stay longer if I think I can get some better shots
