About

I am a professional, creative wedding photographer based just outside Norwich on the beautiful Norfolk Broads. I was trained by internationally recognised wedding and portrait photographers Brian Barrett and Andrew Coe of the Barrett and Coe Network and aim to combine the highest quality work with exceptional levels of professionalism and service. My style is a mix of traditional posed groups and relaxed reportage (this mix can of course be altered to suit individual client's tastes). Before booking a wedding I arrange to meet with you on a no-obligation basis where I can discuss your detailed arrangements, show examples of albums and designs and advise on timings and the typical sequence of events on the wedding day. This level of detailed planning helps ensure a stress-free and smooth-running day. It guarantees there is sufficient time to capture all the formal shots that have been requested and avoids potential pitfalls such as arranging meals too early or serving drinks to guests before the group photos have been taken! After the wedding I spend considerable time processing the images to bring out the true creative potential of shots, resulting in images that are truly memorable. Please take look at the Galleries for examples of my work. Packages start at £500. If you would like to discuss your requirements further, please get in touch using the 'Contact' link on this site.

FAQ

My style. I like to combine both reportage and traditional posed shots. I love hovering in the background capturing those moments at a wedding that portray the real emotion of the day but I also like to spend time with the bride and groom setting up stylish formal shots that make you both look great and give you some high-fashion pictures that will be treasured for years to come. Before the wedding I will discuss with you the sort of shots you prefer and will tailor my coverage accordingly.

Meeting me. Before taking a booking for a wedding I meet with prospective clients on a no-obligation basis either at your house or at mine. This gives you the opportunity to meet me and discuss your day and it allows me to show you samples of the sort of work that I produce and the albums that I offer. If you subsequently choose to book with me I will visit you again 4-6 weeks before the big day to check that dates, times and venues haven't changed and to finalise all the group shots that you require. You are of course welcome to contact me at any time in the intervening period if there's anything you wish to change or want clarified.

Charges. The cost of your wedding photography is dependent on the sort of album you want (if any) and how much of the day you want me to cover. A basic package starts at around £500. I will cover any questions you have regarding pricing and packages during the initial meeting.

Payment. In order for me to hold a booking I require a deposit of £150. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the wedding day.

How many pictures do you take? This is a hard question to answer as it very much depends on how long I am attending. Typically I will shoot 500-800 images on the day but many of these will be duplicates so that I can pick the best expressions and make sure everyone has their eyes open! These will be edited down to a final selection of around 100-200 all of which you will receive as proofs. Rest assured I will be working and looking for photo opportunities at every moment during your wedding.

Initial proofs. Whilst you are on honeymoon I will be working hard preparing the proofs of your pictures and aim to have these ready within 2 weeks. During this stage I will crop and adjust the colours and saturation of all pictures and will perform more extensive post-processing and retouching on any images that I feel warrant it.

Where can the proofs be viewed? The proofs will be available for a six month period on my website where you will have your own password-protected gallery that you and your guests can use to see your pictures. Additionally, I offer bound proof books that contain small versions of all your pictures if you would like it.

The wedding album. If you have chosen a package that includes an album, you can select your favourite images and I will process these once again to ensure they look as good as they possibly can. I will then use these to design an album using bespoke software. Delivery of the album usually takes around four weeks (although this may be longer at peak periods). I will always aim to hand-deliver this if possible.

Printers. I use one of the top professional printing laboratories in the country. Only the best quality paper, ink and printers are used and all images are guaranteed not to fade over time unlike those produced by high street printers and some cheaper printing houses.

Additional products. I can supply a wide variety of products from basic reprints, acrylic blocks and canvas wraps to mugs and mouse mats! If you have any specific requests or would just like to know what's available just let me know.

How long are images kept? All client material is backed up multiple times and is kept for a minimum of five years. You are welcome to order any product at any point during this period following your wedding.
