Chaucer Barn wedding
Here we go with another wedding from back in the latter half of the summer at the wonderful Chaucer Barn just outside Holt. I’ve photographed lots of weddings at Chaucer Barn and each time the ceremony has either been at a church or indoors in the barn, but Will and Jo decided to go for a duo ceremony where the bulk of the marriage ceremony is held outside in front of friends and family and the legal bit (saying the vows and signing the marriage register) is held inside (for legal reasons in the UK marriages must be conducted inside under a permanent structure – seems a crazy law to me but who am I to argue).
A huge teepee had been erected on the main lawn at Chaucer Barn that served both as a backdrop to the wedding ceremony and also where the reception was held (along with some cake judging and some magic/ritual humiliation of Tats the Best Man)
Most of the bridal preparations were done upstairs at Chaucer Barn with some wonderful light coming through the big arched windows at the front

Best Man Tats
Billy is Will and Jo’s son. He was understandably a little nervous about the day to come but I love this shot of him at the start of the day just in the entrance to the wood store
Now this man knows how to make an entrance!
Doing the legal bit
The weather on the day was a little hit and miss and it threatened to rain at any point. Fortunately I took Will & Jo for a quick tour of Chaucer Barn’s grounds for some photos just in time to get back before the heavens opened
After the wedding breakfast it was time for some magic and general humiliation of Tats by magician Steve Sausage
