Easton Grange Wedding Photography
Peter and Victoria’s wedding can only be described as a day of contrasts. I awoke in the morning to heavy grey skies and mist and it threatened to rain all the way through the bridal preparations. Thankfully it held off more or less until Victoria arrived at Hethersett church but during the ceremony the heavens really opened and the sound of the rain hitting the roof of the church was deafening (so much so that the vicar had to repeat some of the vows in order that he could be heard above the rain!).
We exited the church to a steady drizzle prompting guests to make a run for umbrellas, but it was then about an hour’s drive into Suffolk to Easton Grange where the reception was being held and by the time we arrived the sun had made a reappearance and it remained fabulous for the rest of the day allowing us to get some wonderful shots in the beautiful evening sunlight.
One of Victoria’s friends had written her a poem and shared it on Facebook on the day of the wedding
The first of many selfies during the day (even I had to pose for one!)
Victoria looked stunning
Check out that rain – at least there was a coffee cart outside the church to get a nice hot drink
I love this picture of Victoria surrounded by umbrellas – she looks so happy
Can you believe the difference an hour makes in the weather. Peter & Victoria arrive at Easton Grange in style and in blazing sunshine
Probably not allowed but it makes a great prop 🙂
Recent weddings attended by Peter and Victoria had included a ‘friends jumping’ shot and it had become something of a tradition to honour this at future weddings so we duly obliged
Peter is quite the chef apparently so baked a huge selection of cakes and biscuits for the wedding
On to the wedding speeches
The sweepstake for Best Man’s speech ran from the time he stood up to the time he sat down so there was a fair amount of encouragement by some for him to sit down after finishing his speech
This man was very proud of his napkin chicken
Pin the tail on the Griffin (Victoria’s maiden name)
Just look at this wonderful evening light – probably wouldn’t have looked quite so good in the pouring rain!
On our return from shooting out in the fields Peter and Victoria were given a rousing rendition of Happy Wedding Day sung to the the of Happy Birthday
I love this shot of Peter during the evening dancing – it’s like he’s just realised how tired he is (that was after some pretty impressive shapes on the dance floor mind you)
