Fran and Richard’s Wedding – Stancliffe Hall Derbyshire

I photographed Fran’s sister Dani’s wedding to Tim about 18 months ago at Dunston Hall in Norfolk and then following their engagement, Fran and Richard kindly asked me if I’d make the trip up to Stancliffe Hall in Derbyshire to photograph their wedding. It was great to see everyone again and catch up with Dani and Tim and a host of other guests who I seem to see on a semi-regular basis on the Norfolk ‘wedding circuit’!

Both Dani and Fran have married into the services which is not surprising given that their dad was in the RAF. Tim’s career in the navy meant that he came in for a lot of gentle mickey-taking from father-in-law during his speech as inter-forces rivalry kicked in but Richard’s RAF associations saw him escape pretty much unscathed (in fact I think Tim still came in for a bit of stick for being in the navy at this wedding). Full dress uniform was the order of the day for Richard and a lot of the boys which always makes for some fabulous pictures especially as the weather was fabulous just when we needed it on the day.

Brenda and Paul’s Wedding – Cley Mill

After many years of being man and wife in all but name, Brenda and Paul decided to make it official and tie the knot up at Cley Mill on the Norfolk coast. The  wedding was an intimate family affair and a great opportunity for all the generations to get together and have a fun day out together. I started at Brenda and Paul’s house in Norwich with lots of shots of  the grandchildren as they were all variously scrubbed and dressed in their best outfits (some more willingly than others). It was then on to a vintage coach for the trip to Sheringham station where a steam train took us to Weybourne and then back to Sheringham and on to Cley Mill for the ceremony and speeches.

How cute is that!
