What a fab wedding! Kate and Mark are some of the nicest, most relaxed couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Even when the rain was pouring down as Kate was getting ready, spirits remained un-dampened and laughter and giggles were always in evidence (especially Kate). The wedding day began at Kate’s parent’s farm in Swanton Novers before heading off to Wood Dalling church for the wedding ceremony and then Thurning Hall for the reception. The gardens at Thurning Hall are beautiful with stacks of great photo opportunities and thankfully, although it was chucking it down when we left the church, by the time we had made the short drive to Thurning Hall the sun had broken through the clouds and the rest of the day was fab.

Kate sees her flowers for the first time from florist Tessa Papworth (check out her Facebook page hereĀ facebook.com/tessa.papworth)

Love the light in this picture – it was pretty much perfect!

Kate’s dress was from Pure Bridal in Norwich

All Kate’s bridesmaids and also Mum and Dad were give presents during the bridal preparations. Dad got a beautiful pocket watch

Mark is also a farmer and arrived in style with the Best Man and Ushers on a tractor and trailer (straw-chewing was non-negotiable)

Unfortunately in the church I was not allowed in my favoured position in the choir stalls but even so there was some great pictures to be had from the sidelines as the light was just perfect

After some very hurried formal group shots the heavens opened again forcing the boys to run for cover

You’d never believe this was probably only half an hour after leaving the church – blue skies and the boys leaping off the trailer (much to the amusement of the girls!)

The gardens at Thurning Hall were fantastic and very well kept – perfect for a wedding reception

All the speeches were good – particularly Kate’s Dad who, along with Mark, is a big golfer …

ands presented Mark with a new laser-guided rangefinder (aka cardboard box!)
