Mark and Emma got married in the beautiful Wymondham Abbey a few weeks ago. The abbey is spectacular both inside and out and has the benefit of an organ loft at the back which allowed for some great views over the guests (very welcome as I was not allowed to stand at the front on this occasion). After the ceremony it was back to Brasteds, just outside Norwich for drinks, canapés (excellent as always from the talented Brasteds chefs!) and the wedding breakfast. Here are some of my favourite images from the day.
After a marathon couple of weeks I’m gradually catching up on the blogging front. Today is the turn of Karl and Rebecca who got married at the lovely Elms Barn near Beccles. It was a fabulous day with a great couple, good weather (most of the day), fun guests and quite possibly one of the best Best Man’s speeches I’ve ever heard (and believe me I’ve sat through a few shockers).
What a great wedding! So much thought had been put into the day (think treasure hunts, Nintendo competitions, campervans and Lego for starters) and I’m glad to say that even the weather behaved and everything came together just beautifully.
Blickling Hall is a National Trust property in the heart of Norfolk and it’s open to the public for most of the day but at 5pm everyone leaves and the grounds were ours. The gardens are absolutely fabulous with mature trees of all description, clipped hedges, borders, stone steps, a folly, a lake and of course Bickling Hall as the backdrop to everything. The wedding ceremony itself was held in the Orangery, a white painted garden room with glass windows down one entire side – perfect for photographs. Here are some of my favourite images from the day.
This was my first trip to Spain’s Hall in Essex and I really hope it won’t be my last. It’s a fabulous old country house with stacks of history, some beautiful rooms full of natural light and incredible gardens. The weather really played its part too with glorious sunshine all day long allowing guests to chill out in the grounds. The evening light was to die for and just put the icing on a perfect day.
The last of my spell of four weddings in just over a week (with thankfully no funerals) saw me heading off down to Wymondham Abbey for the wedding of Mark and Emma. Wymondham Abbey is a fantastic church with beautiful ornate decoration behind the altar and some fantastic architecture – great for pictures. After the ceremony it was off to Brasteds, an old favourite of mine, to continue the celebrations (and get some Mr Whippy’s from the ice cream van).
I still have some work to do to on Mark & Emma’s slideshow but here’s a quick taster of their day in the meantime.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Vertigans!

It was off to the lovely Elms Barn near Beccles a week or so ago for Karl and Rebecca’s wedding. Highlights of the day included Rebecca walking in to the ceremony to the Darth Vader theme music (much to the surprise of Karl!), one of the best Best Man’s speeches I’ve heard for a long time, Becky playing football in her wedding dress (she is a PE teacher after all) and a choreographed dance routine that would not have looked out of place on Strictly Come Dancing. Here’s a brief taster of the celebrations. More to come soon …

Hot on the heels of Simon and Katie’s wedding it was off to Blickling Hall for the wedding of Paul and Michelle. Blickling is a fabulous National Trust property in the heart of Norfolk and is a photographer’s dream with photo opportunities round every corner. Paul and Michelle had put a huge amount of thought and effort into their wedding with lots of personal details (think lego and Nintendo) sprinkled liberally throughout the day . It was also a very emotional wedding with plenty of tears (mainly from Paul), some great speeches and, most importantly, lots of laughter.
Here’s a quick preview of their day whilst I crack on with building their slideshow :

On possibly one of the hottest and sunniest days of the year so far (not that that’s saying much!) we made the trip down to the Essex/Suffolk border to Spain’s Hall, a fantastic country house venue surrounded by beautiful gardens and with glorious rooms with plenty of natural light – a photographer’s dream. Iv’e been frantically busy recently with four weddings in just over a week so I have a mountain of processing to catch up with so without further ado, here’s a quick video preview of Simon and Katie’s big day. More to follow….
